Tron To Upgrade The TRX Network This Week, Big Changes Coming up This week seems to be the period of choice for both Ethereum and Tron developer teams to change things around in their crypto networks. On the flip side, both managements have announced that the upgrades or hard forks will be for the betterment of their networks. Tron (TRX) System Upgrade While Ethereum gears up for the upcoming two hard forks scheduled for February 28, Tron is also planning to upgrade its network on the same date. The plan for the system upgrade was announced by Tron’s CEO, Justin Sun, on February 23rd. The upgrade will bring about a few cool changes in terms of how the TRX network works and serves its users. The new features include multi-sig and user account management functionalities, 50% increase in network performance, better system and operational security, and better real-time network performance. Institution-Oriented This new upgrade is meant to bring the system up to par with institutional-level functionalities designed to attract institutional investors to the Tron ecosystem. As such, the upgrade is mainly focused on presenting an appealing environment to institutions that might want to join the network. Good Efforts Of late, Tron has made huge efforts in its journey to achieve its goals. On February 19, 2019, the company announced a partnership with BitGo, a move meant to enable institutional investors trade TRX more easily and with a secure wallet. Besides that, Tron also acquired BitTorrent, a torrenting platform. The company then went on to launch the BTT token.
